Could this really work? It seems like it did.

This post received more than 15 million likes on Instagram making it the second most-liked Instagram photo of 2019. Is it truly exceptional? Let’s just say, this one also won majorly because of its caption:

The same old trick? Looking at what’s common between the top two most-liked Instagram photos definitely teaches us the importance of adding a challenging caption.

Married to his longtime girlfriend Lauren Hashian, Dwayne Johnson’s wedding photo is the third most-liked photo on Instagram. The Rock is also the 4th most followed celebrities on Instagram with more than 136 million Instagram followers. So, his popularity, the love people have from him, and his Instagram follower numbers, all contribute to making his post the third most-liked Instagram picture.

#4, #5 Selena Gomez and her friends (@selenagomez)

Taking both the 4th and 5th spots of most-liked Instagram photos are the pictures of Selena Gomez. Both her photos have received more than 14 million likes on Instagram. It’s not surprising to have her at the list as she’s the third-most followed celebrity on Instagram with more than 147 million followers.

#6, #7, #8 Kylie Jenner Posts (@kyliejenner)

With more than 129 million followers on Instagram, Kylie Jenner has three Instagram posts that make it to the top 10 most-liked Instagram photos of 2019. All her most liked photos are totally glam with her husband and Instagrammers are just crazy about them.

#9 Tom Holland and Robert Downey Jr (@tomholland2013)


The cutest pic on the list with the Iron man and Spiderman clicking random photos with their camera supported on a shoe. The picture received more than 13 million likes on Instagram and was totally adored by all the Marvel fans on Instagram.

#10 An egg with a crack (@world_record_egg)


Another egg photo makes it to the list, just this time with a small crack on the egg. The post received more than 12 million likes on Instagram and is overflowing with comments. This was the second photo that world_record_egg posted on their Instagram after their first photo got viral.
